My Story
Vincent is a Hong Kong born, Australia based jazz guitarist. Vincent started playing guitar at the age of thirteen. His primary musical influences include Stevie Ray Vaughan, Slash and indie band Chochukmo.

At the age of fifteen, Vincent's music taste shifted from rock to jazz as he heard Chuck Berry's Johnny B Goode; Vincent was intrigued by the unique musical language and the spontaneity of jazz and blues. At the age of eighteen, Vincent relocated to Perth, Western Australia and studied jazz in Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), where his uncle had graduated with a degree in visual arts.

During his studies at WAAPA, Vincent had performed with an impressive range of artists, including Frank Gambale, Varijashree Venugopal, Daniel Susnjar and Barney Mcall.
In 2022, Vincent was selected as a performance fellow at DOTS+LOOPS festival in Brisbane. This opportunity granted Vincent to collaborate with folk singer Jo Davie and electronic musician Pat Carroll. The festival concluded with a cross-genre concert at The Tivoli.
In 2023, Vincent has graduated with a bachelor of music degree with honours, and won the Jazz Honours award for representing the best graduation recital at the Ellington Jazz Club.

In 2024, Vincent is selected to be the guitarist of Australian National Jazz Orchestra Youth Big Band. The band will be performing at the Sydney Con Jazz Festival and Perth International Jazz Festival, featuring Grammy-nominated saxophonist Remy Le Boeuf.
